HB 1188, Extends the Time Frame for Reimbursement of Training Expenses by a Subsequent Employer of a Peace Officer

This bill provides that if the State of Georgia or any county or municipality employs a peace officer and said peace officer is hired by another agency after completing mandated or formalized training requirements, then the total expense of training, shall be reimbursed by the hiring agency to the State of Georgia or any county or municipality which initially paid for such training. This bill extends the time frame from 15 months before hiring to 36 months.
