This bill would establish the "Local Government Companion Animal Trust Fund" to be administered by the Georgia Department of Agriculture. A portion of state animal licensing funds up to $50,000 would be directed to this trust fund for a 10 year period. Local governments could then apply to such fund for reimbursement of costs of impounding cats, dogs and horses.
