AmWaste was selected to replace C&C Sanitation effective July 1 during a Tuesday meeting of the West Point City Council.
The West Point Development Authority held a special-called meeting on Monday to update one part of the 10th street redevelopment plan that had put into motion in 2013.
West Point Mayor Steve Tramell said things are getting back to business in his city. He said all the restaurants are open for dine-in again, and West Point City Hall the police department will be open on June 15.
