COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign Toolkit

“It’s Worth a Shot” is GMA's comprehensive public information campaign around the COVID-19 vaccine. This campaign was built to contribute to Gov. Brian Kemp’s and the Georgia Department of Health’s goal to vaccinate as many Georgians as possible during spring and early summer 2021, reach 70%-80% vaccination rate and achieve herd immunity. The goal of this campaign is to provide all of Georgia’s cities—regardless of their size, location or communications resources—the tools to educate their residents on the COVID-19 vaccine.

Model Policy Requiring Face Coverings in City Buildings

In response to city inquiries, GMA has drafted the attached model policy for requiring city employees and others visiting city buildings to wear face coverings when inside city buildings. GMA is not taking a position as to whether your city should choose to require face coverings in city buildings. However, for those cities that are considering such protective measures, we suggest you consider this model policy. If you choose to use it, we encourage you to adapt it to your own unique circumstances. As with all matters, we encourage you to seek the guidance of your City Attorney before adopting this or another policy requiring face coverings.
