Municipal Government Hall of Fame
Established in 1992, the GMA Municipal Government Hall of Fame recognizes municipal officials that have made extraordinary contributions to municipal government, exemplify the very best in public service, and who been a strong supporter of GMA.
Nominations for 2026 must be received by GMA no later than 4:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.

Eligibility
- Elected officials with 12 years of elected municipal service.
- City elected officials who were only able to serve eight years due to term limits are also eligible for consideration.
- City managers/administrators, city clerks, or city attorneys with 20 years of service in Georgia are eligible.
- All past presidents of GMA are members of the Municipal Government Hall of Fame and are automatically inducted.
Additional Criteria
- Made significant contributions to the quality of life within the city or cities they have served and/or are serving.
- Been a strong supporter of the Georgia Municipal Association.
