Data center proposals are showing up in communities across Georgia, and city leaders need to be ready. Join GMA for a full-day summit that explains what data centers are, what they mean for local governments, and how cities can make informed decisions.
You will hear from state regulators, utility and industry representatives, land use experts, and local officials who have been through the process. Sessions will cover:
- The basics: what data centers are and how they work
- Lessons from Virginia, where a county attorney will share what local governments learned along the way
- An industry panel on what is trending next, including power and energy considerations
- A regulatory update from Public Service Commission Chair Jason Shaw
- Land use and conservation issues tied to data center development
- Perspectives from Georgia local leaders in rural communities who have worked directly with data center projects
A continental breakfast will be available before the summit starts and lunch will be provided.
Registration is $50. Seating is limited to 100.
Hotel room reservations can be made at the Origin Hotel, 110 Mitchell St SW, Atlanta, GA 30303.
