GMA Calendar of Events

The Hartwell Heart and Soul Downtown Workshop will visit the City of Hartwell, GA on September 23, 2026. A reception will be held on the evening of September 22.

GMA is holding a two-day Fall Training Event at Brasstown Valley Resort in Young Harris on October 1-2, 2026. The event will feature three six-hour classes on Thursday, October 1, and three six-hour classes on Friday, October 2. Each class is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at 3:30 p.m. At least one class must be selected to complete registration.

The Harold F. Holtz Municipal Training Institute will hold the three-hour District 11 regional class: Roles and Responsibilities of Council and Staff at the Fitzgerald Grand Theatre, 119 S Main Street, Fitzgerald, following the GMA District 11 meeting at the same location.

This live, interactive online-only training class will be held over two days, from 8:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. each day.

The Harold F. Holtz Municipal Training Institute will hold the three-hour class: Public Policy Development and Implementation at the Emery Thomas Auditorium 300 Riverview Drive in before the GMA District 9 meeting. The class will be held from 1:30-4:30 p.m.
