The Transformational Leadership Certificate Program is designed to support new and aspiring municipal leaders as they transition into supervisory roles. Whether you're stepping into management for the first time or looking to strengthen foundational leadership skills, this program offers the tools, frameworks, and confidence needed to lead with purpose.
Participants will engage in a dynamic learning journey that includes the EQ-i 2.0 Emotional Intelligence Assessment, hands-on activities, and peer coaching. Through this experience, leaders will learn how to manage team dynamics, foster psychological safety, and address real-world challenges with emotional intelligence and resilience. The program also incorporates Patrick Lencioni’s The Five Dysfunctions of a Team, providing practical strategies for building cohesive, high-performing teams.
At the end of the program, each participant will present a capstone “Leadership in Action” project, showcasing the skills and strategies they’ve applied to real workplace scenarios.

- Overcoming Self-Doubt & Leading with Integrity: Build confidence, clarify your leadership identity, and explore ethical decision-making.
- Navigating Difficult Conversations & Conflict Resolution: Learn to communicate with clarity, manage team conflict, and resolve issues constructively.
- Building Trust & Team Engagement: Foster psychological safety and build strong interpersonal relationships within your team.
- Making Decisions & Managing Employee Performance: Apply emotionally intelligent decision-making and performance management techniques.
- Managing Stress & Avoiding Burnout: Build resilience, manage time effectively, and avoid common leadership pitfalls.
