The COPS Hiring Program (CHP) is a competitive award program designed to provide funding directly to law enforcement agencies to hire and/or rehire additional career law enforcement officers/deputies in an effort to increase their community policing capacity and crime prevention efforts.
The 2025 Law Enforcement Mental Health and Wellness Act program funds the delivery of and access to mental health and wellness services, training, and programming for employees of law enforcement agencies and their families.
The School Violence Prevention Program seeks to improve security at schools and on school grounds in the recipient’s jurisdiction through evidence-based school safety programs.
