Organizations

MS-ISAC
The Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center is a cybersecurity resource for U.S. state, local, tribal, and territorial (SLTT) governments, with a focus on helping under-resourced SLTT entities reach essential cyber hygiene. Once funded by the Department of Homeland Security, MS-ISAC has since shifted to a tiered, membership-based model that scales to government size. It's run by the Center for Internet Security, Inc. (CIS), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to making the connected world a safer place.

CISA
The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency offers a wide range of resources, many of them free for local governments. A great starting point is CISA's Partnering to Safeguard Localities from Cybersecurity Threats Toolkit, which outlines cybersecurity best practices and the resources local governments need to implement them.

Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3)
The IFBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) is the central hub for reporting cyber-enabled crime.
