Grant & Award Opportunities
The Community HOME Investment Program (CHIP) is a federally- funded program designed to provide safe, decent, and affordable housing in Georgia by granting funds to city and county governments, public housing authorities, and nonprofits to:
- rehabilitate owner-occupied homes, and
- build and renovate affordable single-family homes for sale to eligible home buyers.
The CHIP grants will award up to $500,000 for housing rehabilitation of owner-occupied homes, and up to $1,500,000 for new construction and/or rehabilitation of homes for sale to eligible home buyers.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants include:
- Local Governments
- Nonprofits with 501(c)3/(c)4 designation
- Public Housing Authorities
- Current grantees with less than 50% in unspent CHIP funds

Applications must be submitted to the Department of Community Affairs' application portal.

Deadline
