The CPD – Accreditation program awards funding for law enforcement agencies to complete the process of accreditation, as well as the work of national and state accreditation bodies that support accreditation. The FY25 CPD – Accreditation Program has two open funding opportunities:

    • Enhancing Law Enforcement Accreditation Entities
    • Supporting Law Enforcement Agencies Seeking Accreditation

Approximately $4 million is available for this program.

The Enhancing Law Enforcement Accreditation Entities funding opportunity is for the support and enhancement of law enforcement accreditation bodies to facilitate the ability of agencies to become accredited. Public government agencies, federally recognized tribes and their public agencies, for profit (commercial) organizations, non-profit organizations, institutions of higher learning, community groups, and faith-based organizations are eligible for this part of the program.

The Supporting Law Enforcement Agencies in Seeking Accreditation funding opportunity is to support law enforcement agencies seeking accreditation.
