The Well-Being Grant Program helps members of the GMEBS Life & Health Insurance Fund embrace a variety of skills, mindsets, and cultures to encourage utmost well-being through workplace well-being initiatives. Over $2,600,000 has been given back to the membership in grant funds since the program began in 2006.
Eligibility
Membership and grant funding is available to Participating Employers with active enrollment in (as of August 1) in a medical plan administered by the GMEBS (Georgia Municipal Employees Benefit System) Life & Health Insurance Fund*.

All applicants will be evaluated based on their ability to meet the prescribed criteria and demonstrate in-kind support, as well as financial need. Grant amounts may vary yearly, but will be awarded by employee population groups:
- Tier 1: Members with 1-20 employees
- Tier 2: Members with 21-50 employees
- Tier 3: Members with 51-100 employees
- Tier 4: Members with more than 100 employees
If approved, the application becomes the member’s agreement to meet all grant requirements and to carry out all planned well-being programs and activities.
Funding Disbursement
All grant recipients will receive 50% of funding in September, and the remaining 50% of funding will be distributed in February, after submission of the Mid-Year Well-Being Activity Report.
