Addressing Homelessness

Homelessness continues to evolve, presenting complex challenges for local governments. Roles, responsibilities and supportive efforts required of elected officials to face this issue will be examined. This interactive, solutions-focused session equips municipal officials with a clearer understanding of the changing landscape of homelessness, including its root causes, funding mechanisms, and legal considerations. Participants will explore practical, community-based strategies being used across Georgia and engage in structured activities that promote local planning, partnership development, and policy response. Emphasis will be placed on scalable solutions and actionable steps that municipal leaders can implement within their own jurisdictions.
